How to Get to Sumba Island :

on the island of Sumba are two airports, one in East Sumba and the other in Southwest Sumba. the airport is East Sumba is Umbu Mehang Kunda. It was previously known as Mau Hau and is located in the town of Waingapu. The airport in Southwest Sumba is called Tambolaka.

Day 1Waingapu Airport - Pau Villages - Rende Villages - Walakiri Beach Sunset

Meet and greet with our staff by name board Then visit Pau Villages and Rende Village. On the road trip we make in Sumba, you will witness the simple and basic way of living, the views and amazing landscape. In the village of Rende, we can still witness the big megalithic tombs and the traditional houses which the walls which are made of buffalo leather and enjoy Sunset in Walakiri beach beautiful mangrove trees and Transfer to hotel and check-in.

Day 2Waingapu - Pasunga Villages - Praijing Villages - Tarung Waitabar Villages - Waikabubak Hotel

After breakfast visit to Praijing Villages Praijing is a small traditional village in the hills, about 10-20 minutes by car east of Waikabukak. It consists of houses built in traditional Sumbanese style with peaked and thatched roofs, extending over some terraces and surrounding stone megalith tombs and other tribal stone structures. Praijing is picturesque and is easily reachable from Waikabukak. Afterward visit Tarung/ Waitabar which is located just a few minutes west from Waikabubak. There are two villages at this place but they are built so close to each other that it will look like one big village. The village will give you a welcoming feeling while you look around. After lunch Then we will drive to Anakalang district in Central Sumba to visit Pasunga Village. The Pasunga village is a village just before you arrive at Waikabubak. The village is well known for its traditional Sumbanese houses and its graves. The roofs of the houses are made out of metal instead of the grass which you see normally there. Day 3Pronobaroro Villages - Ratenggaro Villages - Mandorak Beach - Weekuri Lagoon

After breakfast visit to traditional villages Ratenggaro and Pronobaroro Villages in Kodi area. here we will see traditional high rooftops houses. ( actually the highest rooftops in whole Sumba ) made all by hand and traditionally. this village is the only one of a few traditional villages left in the area, and while the village is just a compound of some houses. from Ratenggaro we will head to Weekuri Lake, a crystal clear lake that makes it a great place to swim and to relax. next, to the Weekuri lake, we will find Mandorak Beach guarded with 2 huge rock ridges pointing to the middle and crystal clear water. we will stay for watching the sunset in this and head back to the hotel.

Day 4Transfer out Tambolaka Airport

Free and easy and transfer out to Tambolaka Airport West Sumba and finish program
